  1. i forget - thickness of fr3 sheet diameter of circular fr4 is 45 height if folded fr4 is 21.7
  2. Ideas

this is folded dipole. isn't it 300 ohm ?
  3. circle is 0.5mm fr4 and folded fr4 is 0.35mm
  4. looked, and ?? I've got that white antenna. And few minutes ago dissembled it It's not QFH as i said
  5. Yup, i know QFH. But for me looks like some king evaluation of such antenna made from thin fr4. Ok i've looked at that antenna. It's not qfh. So what a kind of antenna is that ?
  6. But on this picture there are two different antennas. First one is some kind of QFH antenna and it's for 1.2ghz.
  7. Ideas

I saw this guy designs. I don't know what to think about his videoblog. First example - Yagi. Why he don't make any impedance matching ? Does he made Yagi which has 50 ohm ?? I don't think so.
  8. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/227960359_A_Novel_Approach_of_Measuring_the_Dielectric_Properties_of_PET_Preforms_for_Stretch_Blow_Moulding So PET, PP looks like better choice
  9. you have right. But sometimes we can't use them. example: a lot of PMMA. It's obvious that will shift antenna characteristics. But I suppose that materials will have also impact on other properties of antenna.
  10. yup i know but sometimes it's imposible to use such thin materials - case etc. For example helical antenna - element which is holding helix. I'm asking which of them has smallest impact. I've found few publications as it's quite good material. http://www.imeko.org/publications/tc4-2007/IMEKO-TC4-2007-188.pdf
  11. Hi to all I'm looking for design of antenna that has: - wide beam width - receives horizontal and vertical polarization - has one port - gain isn't so important - 5-9dbi will be enough. - can be made from FR4 (1mm) - I have small CNC so for me it's easiest way. I know that I can use here antenna with circular polarization - but when will combine linear with circular i will loose 2.6dbi. I've been looking for such designs but didn't found. Cheers Antenna_Kid
  12. So, we will get almost the same when using CP antenna with similar gain... ?
  13. I did little research but didn't find something interesting, maybe this one design: https://www.intechopen.com/books/trends-in-telecommunications-technologies/dual-linearly-polarized-microstrip-array-antenna This also looks interesting: https://www.google.ch/patents/US7508346
  14. cst file ?
  15. 1mm fr4
  16. ok, made it with eliptical cut. 1mm FR4 But first one (white) performs better. First one has best vswr 1.23, second one best 1.7. On second i've printed thin enclosure (about 2mm). Is that possible that PLA has such big impact on antenna performance.
  17. I will try with some printed case. Hope that it will not shift to much.
  18. what axial ratio has that antenna ?
  19. oh, it was under dimensions that you posted for 1mm (under picture). If so, my bad But no problem with that, I've try make some case so it will shift antenna down
  20. 2.4 and 5.8 but dual polarized mainly for 2.4. Radio (rc control) has one port. That's I'm looking for such design.
  21. Hi, yup. I'm DIY fan. Love drones, but making things gives me more fun. I've made small CNC, 3D printer. Just love DIY.
  22. No you not you posted biquad2.igs file As you see i've cut that biquad on CNC. I have small one so it was easy.
  23. interested in such antenna. Made helicals for 5.8Ghz and 2.4 ghz. they are good but long. Helix with parastic element is what i've looked for. This helicals are so short, that i would like to try make a 2x2 array.
