  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2DBpXQ6_mA best i could do...NOT to scale!!!
  2. i`ll search the file...
  3. A balanced feeding structure, shown in Figure 1, consists of two shorting pins and two feeding coax cables. The two coax lines are placed along the centerline of the radiating patch and are located at a distance of S/2 from the center of the patch. The outer part of the feeding coax cable is connected to one arm of the dipole (yellow circle in Figure 1) and the inner part connected to the other arm of the dipole (red circle in Figure 1). With two shorting pins connecting to the inner part of the feeding coax, good isolation between the two ports is achieved.
  4. Is called a SHORT pin ..cause it does that... SHORTcircuits the antenna... to GND
  5. I see TWO resonances...one at 750Mhz and the other at 1500Mhz... and a third (weaker)at 1900mhz or so...
  6. it's a BALANCED antenna (symmetrical HALFs) it NEEDs a balun 1:1 if you're close to 50 ohms and 4:1 if you get close to 200ohms
  7. W key and double click (align WCS) at the right point and angle. then make that distance the port length (a little more does not harm) SELECT port on the left panel and TRANSLATE (rotate) etc
  8. it means that the FRECUENCY range choosed is too small , set it from 2 to 3 ghz the PEC thing doesn't matter much...is the MESH or check for INTERSECTIONS (interferences between solids)
  9. nope , you need at least 6 patches and flaps...for that
  10. which one the 8 patches (16db without flaps) or the 6 patches , you need...?
  11. Lan23 guys tried that...(i did ) Fa20 Patches doesn't like DIRECTORS...reactivity and diagram goes "ape shit crazy" this is the best i could do...16 dbi on 6 or 8 patches (20 cm by 18) quarter FA20
  12. Raytron 16dbi & 19dbi mod Hi , guys it would be nice if some generous soul simulate this one... The original is 6 elements over 0.787 ptfe , 2.1 dielectric constant... (Фольгированные материалы фирмы NELTEC (Франция) NELTEC — новое название фирмы METCLAD. Материалы предназначены для использования в качестве подложек в СВЧ-устройствах. 13. 13dbi HERE:https://martybugs.net/wireless/biquad/double.cgi (one of those and a HALF ,1.5 dBi more = 14.5dbi)
  14. 18 a 32 dbi...with a FLUX CAPACITOR and 1.21 GIGAWATTS! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gc2D16xpziE&lc=UgwcKyseYpusW27DM0N4AaABAg
  15. yagi

not sure about the ..."antenna"...but if you have an UNBALANCED (CO-AXIAL CABLE) contact on the board and you wanna extend that signal path... the coax shield is of the utmost importance (keeping isolation , impedance , and vswr) must be solder to gnd the closest possible to inner wire (50ohms) two antennas are for MIMO (speed)
  16. yagi

    REFLECTOR area ...must be IMPORTANT
  17. all the info on parabolic dishes if you could get 70% efficiency you're GOLDEN
  18. you might wanna look for BEST EFFICIENCY (low SPILLOVER , perfect ILLUMINATION) Blockage is important on small front feed dishes (the shade of the feed over the dish) the gain is of NO IMPORTANCE (on the feed) reflector is CLOSE BY... The SHAPE of the MAIN LOBE ( only one if possible) f-D ratio is your KEY NUMBER (0.2 to 0.5) lower f-D ratio = focus CLOSE to the rim- bigger f_D ratio focus FAR AWAY from f-D ratio yo'll know WHAT lobe of directivity would give you best ILLUMINATION (efficiency) THESE are the values for my dish 0.26 f-D ratio (meaning that the feed must provide 180 degrees of lobe at -6db) feed for 0,25 0.3 f_D ratios
  19. but it would be really nice to see how it performs on the simulations... 24dbi for 64 dipoles is NOT that good...(lots of losses apparently)
  20. ...blockage , 180 degrees at -6db illumination...efficiency...
  21. Adjusted at 2.437ghz center CH 6 can't run the parabolic dish, too big...i dunno how the dish would change this results...(yet)
  22. What's most important to me are the 180 degrees of illumination at about -6 db of gain... helix length – 13cm, 1.5mm wire ,5 doble turns instead of 4 on original site -6dB beamwidth of around 180 deg (good for f/D ratios 0.25 (focal plane dishes) to 0.3) -6dB in beamwidth corresponds to a -10dB edge illumination (max gain) since there is an additional -4dB spreading loss to the edge at these low f/D ratios.
  23. always TWO PEAKS of resonance (1ghz- 2,5ghz ) NO S11 though... tubing should be better than flat plate... (i guess)
