It's a MIRROR symmetry in the VERTICAL AXIS... 1800.dxf 1800.dwg
-
the cst file is there https://www.wifi-antennas.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=7802 ...what you need dxf...dwg...?

Efficiency is low...i blame the FR4 ... so far...(not sure though)
-
YUP...EVERYTHING changes...changing substrates....have you worked with STYROFOAM ? (polystirene foam) if so...what constant and tangent loss should i use...some say 1.11 dielectric and some 0.003 loss...LOW DENSITY foam...
-
I know , you hate DIELECTRICS! JOMY ,Thought , yo could give it a GO at the simulation , i get 18.8 dbi , low , very low EFFICIENCY

Nice series patch...Measurements...? (or .cst...)

https://www.allaboutcircuits.com/uploads/articles/2.4GHz_Wi-Fi_Antenna_.5_Wavelength_Dipole.png In the sleeve dipole the top element is normally simple the coax center conductor extended. This is also normally left with its insulation intact, which means its length must be compensated for by the insulation's permittivity. (the antenna is SHORTER than an a free dipole ; wich is (speed of light/frecuency ) / 2 )

HALF Wavelength with stub balun 1:1 (reduced in length due to dielectric effect ) so it will end up being two sections of about 30 mm IMHO
-
Yea...i've known what VSWR...from the ...ARRL BOOKs ...back in the 90's ... is...but i think the antenna is too capacitive...WHERE can i see the REACTIVE Z...? and find out

wouldn't be better to try a CIRCULAR director...? imho
-
How can I lower the VSWR ? ...everything else , seems OKAY...

I'll add the cards with the 8187B , 8187L vs 8187B Not as much signals as the L version but aALL of them INJECTABLES! ·Note that 8187L displays APs with high RSSI but 8187B does not. (APs with high RSSI are usually non injectable) The winner is 8187B by a 15 to 20% margin."

If the micro usb sees 5vdc...it doesn't matters WHERE it came from...and GND off course
-
-
Did this with several rtl8187b with GREAT RESULTS (even better than a tp link722) MiniPCIe to USB adaptation PS: Make sure you have this two -D +D on the card (some cards don't have'em!)
-
those 3.3 volt regulators are EVERYWHERE...that's what make the hack so CHEAP! It's all it takes a 3.3 volts regulator from5v usb...
-
This is IT! a 3.3v power supply and -D +D wires and is done! Mini PCIe to USB... PS: AHH you mean a usb card on minipci female...ALL you need is -D +D wires and giving 5V to usb card...
-
Jomy ,. which dipole PERFORMs better...? did you try Circular Polarization...? Look what happens when i add a RIM to the Secondary Reflector... PD: What tool you use for CAPTURING the animation to GIF...? (for various frecuencies)
-
Jomy , do yo have more info on THIS one...? Thankz
-
The FIRST one ...I LIKE! is REALLY COMPACT for 15dbi and no wings!...
-
I'll try ,but i did a IMAGE search to find it, ...couldn't get the THREAD in the ACTUAL forum ...i'll keep searching... Do you remember the octagons SIDEs LENGHT...?
