  1. What kind of amplifier is this ? If is used BFG65 as main transistor then maybe worth something .. but if are used anything else then ,,,is so so
  2. no ??? hmm as far as i know OPEN DIPOLE antenna have impedance from 50 to 75 ohm and CLOSED DIPOLE have 240 - 300 this one is OPEN DIPOLE
  3. Very good, very good I replace all biquads i have (3) with batwing because it gives better resulats.
  4. WOW 11dB ..that is very very good ..and the dimensions are ...in the image above or ?
  5. Yes i see that image before .. Jomy ..what is the distance of inner wire i assume 10mm ? id benter is on 30 mm
  6. Yes it is for 75 ohm..and i use 75 ohm cable
  7. Ok I can build this one again ..no problem ž BUT how you get 0.5 lambda that is 46 ...instead of 60 mm ? and how you get 0.6 lambda that is 59 mm --- 72 mm ? And joMy ..i found on several sites that is stated that batwing have only 3db gain so if mine have 5 that is better..he he ! I will try to build UHF TV version with aluminum wires to see how work as TV antenna with horizontal polarization !
  8. i tok image from here: http://ha5cfj.hu/dm2abk/25.2.4.html
  9. Ok i use it with reflector ok ..resized... Is that mean that sizes from old paper picture are wrong?
  10. So as suggestion ...anyone who wish to try remove your existing biquad from antenna and solder this element then check signal strength!
  11. Look I just calculate dimensions given from this old hungary site and my antenna in practice work very very good for vertical polarization even i read somewhere that this antenna is best for horizontal polarization and is not recommended for vertical. as i said before distance from AP is cca 400 m and signal strength is for 10% better than with ordinary biquad do you can explain that for me?
  12. I don't say that, i never build such antenna but i used small pin antenna which comes with wifi card and that one work but work better if we add some reflector. Yes this verticals are used for radio transmission long time...
  13. Hmmm i don't get it what you mean by that? well that was long time ago and i really dont remember exactly but from image you can see 16x8 mm sides ..so should be 128 mm each wire. I am not sure how good that antenna work ..ot is just my attempt to build antenna with koch fractal.
  14. Hi Jomy... i even don't know that such antenna exists before ... here in my country there is no such a antennas used for big transmitters the our uses wave guides with weird panel antennas. This small work very well ..in fact work better than ordinary biquad
  15. Hey ..yes that is me-myself and I he he ...wow that was long time ago
  16. And here are dimensions.. I use this time 2.5mm2 copper wire, vertikal wires are 0.75mm. I simply replace biquad shape with this one ..so distance from reflector is 17mm
  17. Yeah...it is 15mm
  18. I think that we have here big miss-understanding. I was talking about biquad for UHF TV not for wifi-biquad ? That is why i said that isee no difference in reception between UHF-biquad with OR without baloon transformer because i tested it : as i say I tested fabricated version with and without asimetric block. Of course only difference in RX is when i used biquad WITH and WITHOUT reflector.
  19. One question more joMy Original ..let say fabticated varsions have ..balun 300/75 ohm .. but when i tried to pick up something i see no difference between antenna with baloon transformar and antenna without with direct coax cable connection..? how is that possible?
  20. what you mean ..no need to cut ? jomy .. you said: so i think this antenna is for UHF TV ? or i get it something very wrong ..again?
  21. Dimensions are standard for bow tie L/2 distance from elements and L/4 until curved
  22. Another thing , why is this so large 20 mm ? I have somehere original (but with freakin iron) it is just 7 mm wide piece of metal not 20 mm?
  23. I don't know what kind of aluminum you need BUT if you can find old unused fridge ( big with large aluminum container ) then you have your aluminum sheet. I was thinking about building this but i don't have a tools to cut such a shape
  24. Yes ..that was the original..!
