HI jomy... i modifed as per ur suggestion . now no simulation errors but i am getting poor vswr. SMAModified1.hfss
-
This is the modified file still some problem i there SMAtest.hfss
-
Hi jomy this is the SMA connector i have designed. i didnot get the desired VSWR ..can you please check for me...... SMA.hfss dr-1420701851.pdf pi-142-0701-851.pdf

is it really necessary to draw those zig zag pattern on the body ?
-
Hi i belive your central cnductor is made of beryllium copper. first you coated the beryllium copper with gold plate, after that you again coated with nikel am i right or wrong ?
-
Thank you...please attach the file so that i can design in hfss. in the attached pdf file the dimensions were mentioned in inches. we have to convert them into mm.
-
i modified it but no change in results
-
the below image shows the calculation procedure i did for efficiency
-
i have calculated efficiency by taking the ratio of (realized gain/ directivity)*100 ...is that expression correct....because i got the efficiencies greater than 100%.
-
can you reproduce the radiation efficiency vs frequency plot and peak gain vs frequency plot in the below attached file...i got return loss very well UWB monopole 9.35mm wo slot1.hfss UWB (30x30) guitar paper.pdf
-
hello, good afternoon... how can we plot peak gain vs frequency plot in HFSS for the above antenna.
-
definitely jomy ....I will try today itself ...
-
thank you very much.....for your time and suggestions...

Last question, Can I follow the steps which were used to implement the antennas mentioned in above-attached base papers ? .... with the knowledge I have in antenna design( of course it is low), I will design an antenna. thereafter can I go to the fabrication of the antenna or not?
-
this is the vswr plot we require :).....they are not same please check where minimum and maximum values of vswr occuring in both plots
-
yes, boundaries i too agree they are important, but i am defining the boundaries as mentioned in HFSS hand book still nothing happens .
-
ok, ..please tell me what I have to do in order to reproduce the base paper results................

i have designed several antenna ...i am posting them below ....i am facing the same problem we have been discussing testantenna1.hfss 10.1109@ICSCN.2015.7219914.pdf
-
No, it's not good enough ...I have got better VSWR response when the wave port is not defined inside radiation box( the plot is available on this page only) the above image is from the base paper .... there were three dips at near 3GHZ, around 6.5 GHz, and around 10.5 GHz. I want to reproduce exact VSWR response. What should i DO?
-
so you want me to stick to the previous design ?
-
Hello, I have modified the design ...I used PEC cap on the wave port to avoid warnings from hfss because only lumped ports can be defined inside radiation box... The VSWR plot is now degraded a lot at lower frequencies ...i am attaching the file please checkout it. test5.hfss
-
Thank you... i will modify the design and will post it soon ...:)
