Design request? Patch-Yagi for Inmarsat

First of all, thank you for all the great posts I’ve got the chance to read. It’s really incredible what has been designed here!

Unfortunately, I do not own the antenna design software to try my project on my own.

I hope this request is allowed and it’s in the right spot.  In my browsing I could not find a design I am looking for. What I am looking to make is a patch-yagi similar to the popular wifi gun design. It will be used for amateur reception on Inmarsat messaging.

Constraints:

Fc = 1550MHz
BW = 80MHz
Max Physical Length = 30”
Centre Support = 1/4” or 5/16” allthread
Beamwidth = no concern

Thank you in advance for your time, antenna gurus!!

Hello! Yes that is the type!

But with more elements that will fit in 30”. Like this attachment.

The satellites are geostationary so beam width isn’t an issue, only bandwidth.

i would be willing to donate some money for the time to commission such an antenna design.

I have that exact one!
it might be good, but signals so weak it does not fit my application.

I will try to build the model you linked above!

i assume it is okay to keep adding elements at 75mm spacing?

BrashEndeavours,I think that for the reception of the Inmarsat satellite it would be better if a parabolic dish were used...!!!
