Yes ,this practical biconical dipole antenna can be used as a reference for testing across the 4.8-to-5.8-GHz band

I will try to make a simulation for 2.4 GHz

this have gain > 3dBi

i think add more cones can increased gain :)

am just looking for omndirectional that simple to build and have high gain.
