698-3800 Mhz Yagi

Very interesting topic According my own experiences, the Vertical yagi is better for SpE but 3 years ago during an opening with the Vertical dipole I heard Spanish and Algerian stations, but when switched to my Horizontal dipole, British stations are popped up on the same frequencies. Example: on 88.1 with the V. I heard Batna FM with RDS, but when switched to H. BBC R2 RDS appeared.

That is called POLARIZATION both RX and TX should have the SAME (type of antenna)

(linear) Vertical , Horizontal ,

CIRCULAR RH LH (used a lot on FM , it gets inside moving cars) ,

ELIPTICAL .

you could get 3db more of signal just by moving the antena 90 degrees...

Yup it is about polarization of antenna. I think you can Google about how the signal is propagated in your country. The wrong polarization will antuallt cost a big drop to the signal
