PHOLAN

Bi-Quad dual polarized antenna

I'm new to this Forum and was wondering if anyone has any feedback regarding this antenna.

https://www.semanticscholar.org/paper/A-novel-planar-four-quad-antenna-Ahmed-Menzel/88f3d0223574bc1929f25b52c35bc7f35b1b1b17

It interests me because it PCB, flat, dual polarized and a well defined elliptical pattern, which I need as part of an indoor location solution.

I don't believe it's tuned for 2.45GHz. Could someone help me figure out what the final design would look like and specifications?

Thanks

what are the specs of the substrate (PCB)  you're gonna use...?

dielectric constant and thickness...

I don't have any predefined specs. Whatever works best but preferable a single layer PCB

Wow, thank you.
A couple of questions:

Is there a way to visualize the width of the beam in both axis? I'm suspecting that is about 60 degrees
Is it tuned for the BT frequency at 50 ohm? If not, how can I do that?
How can I manufacture a few of them for testing?

yup...you're close 53 degrees ...but it COULD be "tweaked" and "customized"...

what you mean for BT frecuency...?

Yes it has a NICE 50 ohms curve....

PS: I ussually CENTER to channel 6 (2437ghz) and up and down to ch1 and 11...YMMV

When we are satisfied with the results  i'll give you the drawings...(dxf , dwg , cst ,etc) or jpgs with dimensions... over the original drawing

AHHH! you mean BlueTooth

2400 to 2483.5 (center at 2441.75 and 83.5mhz of bandwidth)

YES it's NOT hard once you decide materials and performance...

Thanks again. I have been offline for a few days. Need to review.
Is there a way that I can make a financial contribution? If so, what is customary?

Hi,

Wish bitcoin was still at $400. Should have bought...
I will have a few of them made. Would you please provide me with the schematics or images...

I also ordered an rf-explorer spectrum analyzer.

Thanks

You SHOULD PLAY with the reflector distances around 2 centimetres (19 mm right now) , more or less some millimetres (to allow for PCB differences in material)

Closer more gain and vswr ...farther less vswr and gain (there MUST be a SWEET SPOT there)

THIS is for FR4 4.3  dielectric constant (permeability) 1 millimetre (thickness) or less

Thank you!

I also want to test a circular polarized patch antenna. Which is the best design that you have found for that in your library?
