We use 1.2 GHz system for long distance FPV flight. The distance in these systems is relatively more comfortable. It is much more comfortable because it is inversely proportional to the frequency. But the picture quality is worse than the 5800 MHz frequency. Also, in 1.2 GHz systems, the transmitters have more dimensions and weights. And the antennas are bigger. Quadrocopter is not a convenient frequency. However, long distance can be used in large airplanes. I am using a 1240 MHz Bi-Quad Antenna in the video receiver system for a distance of 47 km.

Our 5800 MHz video transmitters have 600mW output power. With the best combination of antennas, a signal can be received at a maximum distance of 5 km. I've never heard of anyone going farther. But even 5KM distance is very difficult. Few people have reached these distances. So we have to design a good antenna

I think in both cases you can successfully use such an antenna
